Treasures

I admit it. I am a perfectionist.

I'm sort of Martha Stewart meets Brie from Desperate Housewives.
Yeah, I know...annoying. Very annoying.

That may be why's taken me so long to let the world know I have a shop on Etsy.
Problem is, I'm beginning to think that
I'll never be ready to show it off if I keep on trying to make it perfect.

So I decided to show you my imperfect
and not-even-miles-from-being-ready-to-be-advertised Etsy shop treasures.
Here are a few:

So there...the truth is out now.
When I'll have more time to upload more items to my shop, I don't know.

All I know is that finding treasures for my shop is one of the
healthiest, happiest, most enjoyable things I do!

Enjoy your week doing something you find simply fascinating!

A big hug, my loves.

Decor & Clothing Styles

I want to believe that my decorating and clothing styles are intimately related.

I love clothes that have a timeless look.
Feminine without being overly girlie.
Flirty without being too sexy.

For example (I love vintage clothing and Mary Janes!):
.

I don't like matchy-matchy,
but rather I love to coordinate items
and then throw something unexpected...
such as the blue vintage purse with any of those outfits,
or yellow and gray pillows in an all-white room...

or choose one wall and make it stand out with a vibrant color...

or add a bright set of lime green chairs just about anywhere...

What's your clothing/decor style?
Are they related to each other?

Happy Friday!

Abrazos (hugs!),

Feeling Romantic

I saw the film Letters to Juliet with my darling daughters Noel and Camila last night. I love that it is set in Southern Italy where my ancestors happen to be from. And...I love that is was romantic (silly ending though). Now I want gelato. Darn.

It inspired me to post these romantic images. My home is looking sort of boring these days. I would like the time to get more of me in it. I like the inspiration provided by these:

What inspires you? What's your style? I love modern-classic with a touch of history, but not stuffy, with a very tiny of romantic thrown into the mix. How about you, dearies?

Have an inspired week!
Muchas gracias for stopping by!

Happy to be a Girl

I used to think that guys had it so much easier. However, I am happy I am a complex, somewhat pretty, have-the-right-to-change-my-mind-on-the-spot woman. Yay.
This will be a happy-to-be-a-girl week.

Tell me what you like the most about being a girl...

I personally like:
the awesome clothes I can wear

that I can look great on high heels and in pink
And that though my decision-making process is quite mathematical,
I am a romantic dreamer without a cause (and proud of it).
I seriously need more romantic touches in my home, like these:

Happy Monday, lovely chicas!

Thanks for stopping by...

Monday inspiration from Fotopastele

Monday is my meeting day. I have meetings pretty much all day. I'm a problem-solver by nature, so I love my line of work. Yet, I didn't get to see the beautiful sunshine and clear blue skies in our area today until after 5:00 pm because...well...I was in meetings :-).
On a day like this, I go directly to Fotopastele's blog.
If you've been following me, you know that I adore this blog. The photography is amazing.
This particular set inspires feelings of beauty and simplicity with a touch of in-your-face uniqueness.
Love it.

Hope you find the inspiration you need to create an fun, productive, and super amazing week for yourself.
Thanks for visiting. Muchas gracias!

Boutique fabulousness

This past weekend, my sweet daughter Camila (the photographer) took me to Dear Lizzie Boutique.
Camila had been there before and had taken a few pics of this awesome place, which I am posting here:

We were there for quite a long time admiring the 1960s-inspired hats, super unique clothing,
absolutely gorgeous sparkly chandeliers, and everything in between.
They even had an amazing 1900s-inspired white rod iron baby cradle,
paired with an amazing, humongous chandelier which
reminded me of Cinderella's carriage.
I should have taken a few pics with my phone, but I didn't!
I claim temporary insanity caused by fabulousness overload.

I'm so inspired this week to finally work on my future Etsy shop goodies.
I just need to ask the Time Fairy for about 12 extra hours each day this week so
I can do everything I want to do :-)

Thank you, darling Camila for the pictures!
To all of you my friends, gracias for stopping by!
May today be the happy beginning of a fantastic week
(whatever fantastic means to you).
