Sexy Red for all

It's Friday! That means, the last day of our Sexy Red Week.
It appears quite a few of you love red. Who can blame you. It bursts with warmth and energy.
I've gotten red-crazy lately, which is very strange 'cause I'm more of a blue/green type of gal. I am not brave enough to paint my walls red (bravo for those of you who are!). It does look vibrant, doesn't it?:

Now this one may be just a tad too much ,what do you think?
But I'm definitely on board with this red kitchen! I love the clean look!
How about the red in these oriental pieces?
Or in the fabric on this chair:

I love these kitchen towels and pillow:

and for those of you who loved the turquoise
KitchenAid last week, how about it in red?

And now, the piece of resistance. How cool is this washing machine??

Hope you liked our Sexy Red week! Have a lovely weekend!

How about some Retro Red?

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I am a total woman. I have the right to change my mind often and I often do. I have a defined style, but I am attracted to fun and beautiful things across the board. I can teeter-totter between romantic/historic and clean-lines contemporary.
Yet, my taste takes away and flies, and finds a comfy nest in the retro style. I love the 40's, 50's and 60's and everything that make them so unique (what happened during the 70's, I will never understand). So here's some hot red retro for you all today:
Stay tuned for more red tomorrow.
Have a lovely day!

Sending some red energy your way

Have you ever rushed, rushed, rushed through the day and at 9:00 pm you can't believe the day is almost gone? Yes, that was my experience today. I would love to have a few extra hours to finish a few tasks. The good thing is that I received a gift this afternoon and it was all wrapped in...you guessed it...sexy red gift wrap! I guess my friend saw my blog's theme for the week. How sweet!
So, here's more awesome red for all of you darlings:

I read earlier today that the color red is associated with heat and warmth. So I'm sending some red to those of you who are still battling snow and rain. Spring is near!

Color of the week: Sexy Red

I went to purchase paint samples yesterday and a lady at the store caught my attention. While I was focusing on soft blue and tan shades like seaside and flax, she was buying two gallons of bright red paint to match a white fabric with beautiful, big red poppies. Two gallons. That was a woman on a mission to spice up a room. Had I known her, I would have given her a standing ovation, but I am not that crazy just yet.
So, in honor of the unknown woman who yesterday inspired me to be more brave with color, I hereby declare this first week of March: Sexy Red Week. Let's get started with these pics today:
