For the love of blue

What is it about blue that brings me peace, puts me in a good mood,
and invites day-dreaming?
I tend to stay away from vivid, bold shades of blue and
gravitate towards those tinted by green
(teal, turquoise, aquamarine):

However, here are two bold shades of blue and red.
They work so well together.
Stimulating...energetic...I feel like going out for a run...

Too much blue? Maybe...but somehow it works!
What do ya think?

Yes, I love turquoise. Almost to the extreme.

Maybe blue evokes lots of good memories of my days living on the southern California coast
or provoke dreams of future trips to beautiful, distant Seychelles.  A girl can dream.

Have a wonderful week!
Muchas gracias for stopping by,

Blue and turquoise are colours I "discovered" recently after I bought some clothes in these colours and I truly like them. I used to prefer green but know I have changed. I think our colour preference changes according to age, experience, social surroundings, fashion. Funny thing I have just posted a quiz link on my blog. I thank you for visiting and following it.All the best!!

  17. Sylvia!!! Thank you for coming to visit with me and leaving me such kind words! I am so happy that someone would WANT to come to my blog and find peace! AND YOUR BLUE......Oh when I see the different shades, I wonder, "WHERE WAS I ALL THIS TIME THAT I DIDN"T PAY ATTENTION TO BLUE?" Like you, I love all the shades of the lighter side, but as you have shown here, that stunning darker shade with red really makes a bold and BEAUTIFUL STATEMENT! Have you ever been to Nice, France? THe beach is a turquoise color blue green that you never see in California. I love your thinking!!! AND THAT DOOR...WOW. WHat fun this is to share passions for decorating and life!

    Have a wonderful day! ANita

  41. Hello my darling Silvia, hope life is treating you marvellously. Both Lady R and I thank you for your kind words and prayers, you are a beautiful person, a gem of a friend, thanks luv. Lady R is doing fine of late and getting stronger, healthier and all ready for her chemo. I have so much to catch up on your blog, so I will be on my way. Before I go, I have to say I too am a huge fan of blue of all shades. The darker teal hues remind me of France. Great post darling.
