I'm in Buenos Aires this week, where everything is green and luscious. It's autumn, but the golden sun and green surroundings mixed with the crisp air, reminded me how much I adore green. So, let's see some pretty and always elegant shades of green:
I love the red and green in this last picture. So strange. If you showed me this pic last year I would have said: eeek! Now I love it. Go figure.
Have a wonderful week, all of you lovely chicas!

Rethinking wallpaper
I've never been totally crazy about wallpaper. I will use it very selectively. Maybe to cover a box, to add a nice touch to a piece of furniture, or to cover some of my otherwise boring file folders. That's about it. However, these spaces invite me to re-think my wall paper paradigm.
I feel total serenity when I look at the first photo. Maybe it is the combination of subtle yellow and white. There's just something soothing about this room:
Hope you find some inspiration this week that makes you see things from a different point of view.
Have a wonderful week, dear lovelies and chicas.
Love and hugs,

Bold AND beautiful:
And this pattern is lovely. Love the gray and subtle shades of blue:
I tend to shy away from patterns in my sofas, but I definitely LOVE this one:

The veredict is in: We love green!
Thanks to all of you who posted comments on Casa Bella's green week. Apparently green is a crowd pleaser.
It can be happy (think avocado, citrus or lime green, or my absolute fave chartreuse!), subtle and serene (sage, olive, soft shades of ivy and grass green), or bold and vibrant (jade and emerald, for instance. I am not going to mention hunter as it reminds me of the early 90's. Sorry hunter green fans!)
This weekend, SPRING BEGINS! Green has been the most appropriate color in my humble opinion to receive this wonderful, happy season...
If you like chickens, why not one in green?
Love this Anna Karenina print:
And here it is, the KitchenAid mixer in green:
So there you have it, my dear lovelies: A week of wonderful green.
Lots of love and muchas gracias!
Credits coming soon.

Serene Green
Continuing with my green week, here are a few more beauties:
First of all, you've got to love the two (or three?) tone panels and the matching door. I can't think of a more serene and calming way to receive your guests:
What is it about mixing blues and greens that is so appealing?

I'm not a fan of wallpaper, but I've got to admit I love this one, maybe because of the happy, sunny avocado green...

The gold frame works beautifully with the green in the background:

Though not crazy about the style (or the chairs!), the green in the frames, the table top and the soft chandelier make this room a place where I want to sit and chat with a friend over a cup of tea:

CREDITS: entrance; bowls; avocado wall paper; Astoria chair; Martha Stewart green collection colander; citrus green pom pom throw; gold frame; cushion; tote; dinning.

A new week with a pinch of happy green
I had a great weekend, but I ended up working more hours that I intended. Yet, I had fun shopping, cooking, wrapping that wedding present (I will show you the pics tomorrow), and doing some odds and ends. I had fun having a few cups of tea and watching the snow fall (yes, still snowing in this area of the world).
My Monday mornings start with the most difficult meetings of the week, so I try to think of wonderful colors to sprinkle some happiness into my otherwise very long and challenging day. In honor of St. Patrick's, I thought I would show you a week of wonderful greens. I love green. My eyes are green, money is green, trees are green (I love trees more than most people, I am kind of tree crazy). Nature smells like green to me (I know, that is a weird sentence, isn't it?)
Let's begin the week with some green awesomeness:
Don't you love all these different shades of green? They make me so happy! Ok, now I'm ready for my meetings. Hope your day is bright and wonderful!
Lots of love,
